PURPOSE OF THE WOMEN’S MINISTRIES
The Women’s Ministries Department creates a group or programmes within the church focused on supporting, connecting, and empowering women in their faith and daily lives.
Here’s what it’s usually about:
Spiritual growth
- Encourages a deeper relationship with God through Bible studies, prayer groups, and devotionals
- Helps women apply faith to real-life situations
Community and support
- Creates a safe space for women to share experiences, struggles, and encouragement
- Builds friendships and a sense of belonging
Teaching and mentoring
- Provides guidance through classes, workshops, or mentoring relationships
- Often pairs younger women with more experienced ones for support and wisdom
Service and outreach
- Organizes charitable activities (helping families, visiting the sick, community service)
- Encourages women to use their gifts to serve others
Personal development
- Focuses on emotional, relational, and sometimes practical life skills
- Topics can include marriage, parenting, leadership, and self-care
Fellowship and events
- Hosts gatherings like retreats, conferences, prayer breakfasts, or social events to strengthen bonds and faith
Overall, the purpose of a Women’s Ministry is to help women grow spiritually, support one another, and live out their faith in meaningful ways.
