Chaplaincy Ministry

WHO IS A CHAPLAIN?

Chaplains exist to meet the needs of people. This ministry is not just for the four walls of the church but, a community-based ministry. We may not be aware but, 80% of the people you come in contact with each day is facing a crisis. The call of a Chaplin is therefore relevant for all times and seasons. This leads to ministry of physical, spiritual, emotional, financial, and psychological needs as they occur. The job of a Chaplin is constant and ever evolving as situations arise.

 Cayman Islands Commission

At present, we are a team of 14 members, from 4 local churches within the New Testament Church of God denomination. As a team, we have been duly trained and fully certified by the International Office of the Church of God, Cleveland, Tennessee as community chaplains in this skilled discipline. This certification is recognized globally and accepted as first responders during life's crisis. Endorsed by our Administrative, Bishop Eitel Morris, we are committed to public service and first responders to crisis at all levels. As trained chaplains we are equipped to bring spiritual, emotional, and physical support to those in need. We will also point those in need to the best source and resource available to help an individual or group in their time of need.

 Crisis: It just happens

Never before have we seen such a need for support in the lives of people we come in contact with each day. And of such, God has intentionally handpicked chaplains to be there for others, just when they need support most. Our goal is to carry out the mandate of reaching people at the point of their needs. We strive to do this as effectively as possible with God's help and through the skills we gained.
