The School of Ministry offers seven courses, which include the Mobilize program consisting of three courses: Growing Believers, Lay Ministry Worker, and Local Leadership Development.
GROWING BELIEVERS/LAYMINISTRY LEARNER
This is a discipleship course for all believers. It is a Pentecostal teaching, based on the Church of God Doctrine. It teaches in a Q&A format about God, man, redemption, the church, Pentecostal spirituality, the sacraments, and more.
LAY MINISTRY WORKER
The primary goals of this program are to develop a culture of faithful servanthood and to emphasize the establishment of a biblical covenant team relationship.
LOCAL LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
This is a comprehensive course that teaches leadership skills and character formation. Ministry foundation and principles, ministry skills, and practice by choosing a specialized area of ministry to focus, explore, and implement.
FCC: FUNDAMENTALS OF CHRISTIAN COUNSELLING
This LOCAL CERTIFICATE course provides an introduction to counseling theories, models, and skills. and the theological integration of psychology and counseling from a Christian perspective. Students will be exposed to factors in practice, assessment, and intervention. It also involves Practical Role-play Sessions.
CIMS
The Certificate in Ministry curriculum consists of 20 courses. A student, upon completing all requirements, stands to gain a certificate and 35 credit hours, which are transferable to universities or seminaries as you seek to further equip yourself in the theological field. There are 3 main areas: Biblical Studies, which consists of four courses totaling 10 CIMS credits. Doctrinal Studies has four courses with seven CIMS credits. Pastoral studies has 12 courses totaling 18 CIMS credits.
MFM: MOTIVATION FOR MINISTRY
This LOCAL 6 session Discipleship Program will help believers to understand their Ministry Call, discover their Spiritual Gifts, engage in Ministry Specialization, and grasp the basic operations of the Church and COG Teachings. It includes ministry assignments by their Local Church Pastor.
A MFM Certificate of Completion will be awarded by the CE Department.
Following 4 Sessions of successful Theory and Practical Work, participants recommended by their Pastor will be commissioned as Lay Ministers.
AA - ASSOCIATE OF ARTS IN THEOLOGY (BBCC)
This LOCAL Modular program is open to all believers. Those who have completed the CIMS or its equivalent; (33 Credit Hours Are Transferable From CIMS Or Its Equivalent). Those who have completed the CIMS or its equivalent.
CERTIFICATE: Without the CIMS, one will be awarded a Certificate upon completion.
DIPLOMA: With CIMS or its equivalent, one will be awarded a diploma upon completion of three required courses and one elective.
